TREMBLING BELLS – Wide Majestic Aire (Tin Angle)

Hot on the heels of the excellent ‘Sovereign Self’ comes a new mini-album from alt-folkies Trembling Bells. It’s a companion piece to the earlier album, and includes the superb Lavina Blackwell-sung title track – a tribute to the river running through Alex Neilson’s home town – as well as esoteric pieces such as the a capella ‘The Day That Maya Deren Died’ and a song influenced by Renaissance music.
