DODGY – What Are We Fighting For (Cherry Red)

Dodgy were always one of my favourite Brit-pop bands, so it’s good to see a new album from them – their second since reuniting in 2012. Nigel Clark always had a good ear for a memorable melody and a catchy hook, and I’m pleased to say that he hasn’t lost it. The album is full of classic Dodgy moments, and while they’ve obviously matured, there’s also a raw vitality here, resulting in their best work so far.
